Outpost Transmission - Week of January 18-24, 2026

This week at Expedition Outpost was about momentum and refinement.

Website improvements
We made several behind-the-scenes updates to improve navigation, structure, and clarity across the site. Nothing flashy — just steady progress toward making the Outpost easier to explore. We removed some redundant text, created some newer, better images, refined the categories of product, worked on the menus and blogs.

Wasteland Workshop
Our Fallout-focused hobby work continues to grow. More minis, more terrain ideas, and more plans forming for structured hobby sessions and events. Please check out the Gen X Geek blog, where there's a Wasteland Workshop write up, for more detail.

Lethal Shadows
We've signed up to sell some excellent hobby supplies including specialized brushes, paints, and top quality miniatures from our new partner Lethal Shadows Premium Minis. We're excited to create with these new tools. Standouts include the Scythe brush with replaceable nibs, and high quality fluorescent and metallic paints.

RPGs, accessories, and board games
We added depth across roleplaying and tabletop accessories — supplements, dice, tools, and new board games. We aim to provide a comprehensive selection of (high-quality) supporting products for your game nights.

JoyToy and miniature displays
Display refinement continued this week. We’re dialing in how premium figures and painted minis live in the space, visually and practically. We set up a couple of new glass displays to house our painted minis, as well as posed a serious selection of JoyToy Warhammer figures.

Gundam models
Model building has officially taken hold. More kits are arriving, and the build-and-learn side of the hobby is becoming a visible part of the shop. I personally worked on a couple of Gundam models this week, learning more and refining my skills. Join me to continue levelling up in the gunpla hobby side of things.

Games Workshop
Work continues toward expanding our Warhammer presence in a curated, approachable way — depth without overload. We've signed on as an official retailer with Games Workshop, and will be bringing their games, miniatures, and tools into the Outpost over the next couple of weeks. We're proud and excited to become a part of the Games Workshop retailer network.

More to come next week.
